Here’s to 2022: A Year of Rebuilding, a Time of Hope

News and Events

So Long 2021. 2022, We’re Looking at You!

It’s that time of year when we reflect on where we’ve been and celebrate where we’re going.

First, let’s take a peek back at 2021 (we’ll make it quick): Many in the International Education community continued to be hit hard by the pandemic. Mobility of students remained minimal. Staffs and budgets were slashed. Additional responsibilities were heaped onto already jam-packed jobs. Not to mention lingering anxiety about the future… we see you.

But there were bright spots: Some managed to travel and study abroad. Others got creative, bringing the world to campus through food events, Zooming into classrooms, virtual global experiences and more. Others reinvigorated their programs with additional virtual formats, engaged study abroad alumni with current students, and restructured job descriptions for the future.

Here’s what we know and love about the International Education community: It’s resilient—and supportive. Since Via was founded by international educators for international educators, our desire is to do all we can to make your workday easier. That’s our #1 New Year’s resolution.

In 2022, you can count on Via for:

  • Monthly user research sessions
  • An annual user conference
  • Robust Via Global product development
  • Enhanced capabilities with Via Travel
  • Even more innovative features for every traveler, from pre-departure on

We couldn’t do what we do without our amazing partners. We’re so very grateful. Happy holidays to you and yours from all of us at Via. And here’s to a wonderful season of hope—2022.
